On the 4th, Lee Woo-seok defeated Italy's Mauro Nespoli 6-4 in the men's individual quarterfinals held at Les Invalides in Paris, France.

Having won the gold medal in the men's team event with his teammates, Lee Woo-seok is aiming for a double crown. He will compete against the winner of the match between Kim Woo-jin and Mete Gazoz (Turkey) for a spot in the final. Kim Je-deok, who also advanced to the quarterfinals, will face a Korean athlete if he reaches the final.

The Korean archery team, which swept gold medals in the men's and women's team events, mixed team event, and women's individual event at this tournament, is challenging to make history by winning five gold medals.
