Kim Woo-jin advanced to the quarterfinals of the men's individual archery event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
On the 4th, Kim Woo-jin defeated Brazil's Marcus Dalmeida 7-1 (29-29 30-27 30-29 30-28) in the round of 16 of the men's individual archery event held at Les Invalides in Paris, France.
Dalmeida is currently ranked number 1 in the world and won the silver medal in the individual event at the 2021 Yankton World Championships and the bronze medal in the individual event at the 2023 Berlin World Championships.
Kim Woo-jin will face Mete Gazoz of T?rkiye, the 2021 Tokyo Games champion, in the quarterfinals.
Earlier, Kim Woo-jin won gold medals in the men's team event and the mixed team event. If he wins the men's individual event as well, he will become the third archer to achieve the Olympic archery triple crown, following An San at the Tokyo Games and Lim Si-hyun at this Games.
