At around 2:18 a.m. on the 4th, a 1-ton truck driven by A (22) crashed into a guardrail on the road in front of Jisan Village, Ingye-myeon, Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk.

As a result of the accident, three siblings, including A's relative B (25, female) and two younger brothers (17 and 18), died. The driver A sustained serious injuries such as fractures and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to police investigation, the accident occurred due to driver A's drunk driving while returning home after a family gathering. A's blood alcohol concentration was reported to be at the level warranting license cancellation.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
