Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, attended the '4th TongTongTong MulTongTong Village Festival' held on the 3rd at Guryong Neighborhood Park in Sangam-dong (next to the Japanese school), comforting residents exhausted by the heatwave and enjoying the festival together.
This festival, themed around 'Communication', 'Harmony', and 'Unity', is a village festival centered on water play that all age groups can enjoy together. It was held with support from the resident participation budget provided by the Sangam-dong Festival Promotion Committee.
The festival ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., attracting over 2,000 residents not only from Mapo-gu but also from neighboring areas, who enjoyed various water-related activities.
At the festival’s highlight water play zone, water slides, swimming pools, and pedal boats for toddlers were installed to satisfy children's senses, and a fire truck water spraying demonstration added to the fun of the festival.
In the food zone, various popular restaurants and food trucks from Sangam-dong participated, offering visitors a rich variety of food, while the game zone featured various games that the whole family could enjoy, making it a festival venue for people of all ages and genders.
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “I hope this festival provided a precious time for families and neighbors to enjoy together and forget the summer heat,” adding, “We will do our best to enhance the value of Sangam-dong and promote harmony among residents.”
The district adjusted the location of trees and replaced damaged grass in Guryong Neighborhood Park, where the festival was held, earning praise from residents who attended the event that day.
