The Chungnam Office of Education announced on the 2nd that it has delivered 475 million KRW in donations to 190 students with incurable diseases.
The office provided 2.5 million KRW per student suffering from cancer, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, juvenile diabetes, and other illnesses, using funds raised through the Chungnam Education Love Card and collaborative projects with the education treasury.
Over the past five years, the office has delivered a total of 1.4 billion KRW in donations to 695 students.
Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol stated, "By supporting medical expenses, we offer hope and courage to students and families battling incurable diseases," and added, "We will continue to lead the way in realizing educational welfare by spreading a culture of living together and sharing love."
