Selected Consecutively for Public Contest Projects Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Gyeonggi-do
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is expanding its support projects for small manufacturers in the area. Funding has been continuously secured through selection in government- and Gyeonggi Province-led small manufacturer support public contests.
Hwaseong City announced on the 2nd that it was recently selected for multiple small manufacturer public contest projects led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Gyeonggi Province, mainly involving local organizations and public institutions.
According to the city, the Hwaseong Urban Small Manufacturers Council was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups-led "Small Manufacturer Smart Manufacturing Support Enhancement Project" and the Gyeonggi Province-led "Expansion and Establishment of Small Manufacturer Complex Support Centers Project."
The Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency also secured three projects: the Ministry of SMEs and Startups-led "Small Manufacturer Smart Manufacturing Support Enhancement Project," the Gyeonggi Province-led "Future Technology School Operation Support Project," and the "Small Manufacturer Equipment Education Digital Transformation Pilot Project."
The total support scale for the selected small manufacturer public contest projects amounts to 2.9 billion KRW. Through the Hwaseong Urban Small Manufacturers Council, 1.59 billion KRW will be supported, and through the Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency, 1.31 billion KRW will be provided.
Among these, the "Small Manufacturer Smart Manufacturing Support Enhancement Project" is aimed at automating manufacturing processes that were previously manual, supporting ▲ installation of automation equipment ▲ related software ▲ introduction of shared platforms, with up to 60 million KRW supported per small manufacturer.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "With the selection in this public contest, support for small manufacturers in Hwaseong City will be further expanded," adding, "We will use this selection as an opportunity to expand support for digital transformation and strengthening technological capabilities of small manufacturers."
Hwaseong City plans to implement various support projects by linking support facilities such as the small manufacturer joint infrastructure established in the area, Hwaseong Small Manufacturer Complex Support Center, and Dongtan Small Manufacturer Complex Support Center with major public contest projects.
