Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province held the 2024 Cheongsong Youth Festival 'Go-Ham' Thank You! For Being With Us event on the front yard of the Youth Training Center on the 1st, with over 200 local and outside youths in attendance.
The Youth Festival 'Go-Ham Thank You! For Being With Us' is a performance co-planned by Cheongsong County and youth participation organizations to guarantee the rights of youths so that no one is left out and to promote self-directed youth activities by encouraging participation in various artistic activities. From planning and operation to reporting the results, youths are directly involved in every step.
During the first part of the event, 15 experiential booths such as cotton candy, slushies, youth activity quizzes, and mini basketball, planned by youth participation organizations and the Happy Volunteer Club, were operated. In the second part, a talent show provided an opportunity for youths to showcase their skills, with 10 local youth bands including the Im Ganggeon Band, Beetle Beatles, and Leporem participating.
Notably, this event featured an escape room game, which is not usually available locally, held in the program room on the third floor of the Youth Training Center. At the end of the event, a DJ was invited for an EDM party, which was met with great satisfaction from the youths.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "I hope that the experience of directly planning and operating the Youth Festival 'Go-Ham' will become a valuable foundation for your future," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide opportunities for youths to participate in a self-directed manner."
