Call for 'Jungnang Happiness Billboard' Autumn Edition Texts Until the 16th
Accepting Original Autumn-Themed Phrases Within 30 Characters
Six Works Selected by Text Selection Committee; Winner Receives 500,000 KRW Jungnang Love Gift Certificate
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is accepting submissions for the autumn edition of the ‘Jungnang Happiness Bulletin’ until August 16.
This contest calls for original phrases of up to 30 characters themed around autumn. The phrases should resonate with all generations and convey warm emotions to offer comfort.
Anyone residing or working in the area can participate, and each person may submit one entry.
Submissions can be made through the Jungnang-gu Office website by navigating to → Citizen Participation → Online Submission → Office section. If online submission is difficult, entries can also be delivered in person to the Administrative Support Division of Jungnang-gu Office or sent by mail.
After submission, the phrases will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of internal and external members, and a total of six works will be chosen. The winning entry (1 work) will receive a 500,000 KRW Jungnang Love Gift Certificate, and five runner-up entries will each receive 100,000 KRW, totaling approximately 1,000,000 KRW in prizes.
The selected winning phrase will be displayed on the exterior wall of the Jungnang-gu Office building from September to November, accompanied by a design that suits the phrase.
Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi of Jungnang-gu said, “We hope for many residents’ interest and participation in this year’s ‘Jungnang Happiness Bulletin.’ We encourage many submissions that capture the rich emotions of autumn.”
In the last summer edition contest, Ms. Kim Seon-suk’s phrase, ‘My summer days were always the shade of trees that offered themselves without asking for anything in return’ (photo), was selected as the winning entry.
