The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is launching a program to train specialized personnel in electrical (internal wiring) work and quarantine/pest control drones targeting the 40s to 60s age group.
On the 1st, the foundation announced that it will carry out the "4060 Customized Reemployment Support Project" as a representative reemployment support program for baby boomers, aiming to enhance the technical skills and support employment of middle-aged and older adults in the province through vocational competency development training.
The foundation will select a final group of 35 trainees through interviews from 234 candidates who passed the document screening. The selected trainees will acquire basic knowledge through quarantine and pest control theory education and gain hands-on field experience by learning drone assembly and maintenance skills.
Son Il-gwon, Head of the Western Business Division of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "This training course aims to cultivate experts in convergence technology reflecting the transition to new industries," adding, "We will continue to support middle-aged baby boomers in the province to achieve stable reemployment based on technical skills through practical education support."
