Seocheon County Secures 2.7 Billion Won in Special Grant Tax... Momentum for Key Projects Jeon-gyeong of Seocheon County Office

Seocheon County in South Chungcheong Province is expected to gain momentum in promoting key projects, such as the construction of a bio-specialized knowledge industry center, after securing 2.7 billion KRW in special grants.

On the 1st, Seocheon County announced that it had secured 2.7 billion KRW in special grants: 1.8 billion KRW for the bio-specialized knowledge industry center, 600 million KRW for the Gwanpo small river maintenance project, and 300 million KRW for the installation of an automatic vehicle barrier facility at the National Institute of Ecology underpass.

This achievement is attributed to County Governor Kim Giwoong establishing a close cooperative system with People Power Party lawmaker Jang Donghyuk and visiting the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to explain the necessity and urgency of the projects.

Earlier this year, the county secured a total of 8.8 billion KRW, including 6 billion KRW for emergency restoration and reconstruction costs following the fire at Seocheon Specialized Market.

Governor Kim stated, "My efforts to visit government ministries to resolve local issues such as market reconstruction and flood damage restoration have paid off," and added, "I will continue to work even harder to secure government funding in the future."
