Mart Side "Considering Installing Doors on Display Shelves"
A man was caught lying barefoot on a beverage display shelf at a supermarket in China.
On the 24th of last month, Chinese local media Sina News reported an incident that occurred at a supermarket in Guangdong Province, China. The man lying on the floor with his bare feet on the beverage display shelf was comfortably lying down, looking at his phone with one hand.
In the video, even when people approached to take drinks from the refrigerator, the man did not move and stayed in place. Eventually, shoppers barely managed to take drinks by stepping through the gap between the man's legs.
It is known that many people flocked to the supermarket to escape the heat at the time. Besides this man, people sitting or lying in front of the beverage display shelves to cool off were spotted throughout the supermarket.
A supermarket official said, "Due to the hot weather, many people come to cool off," and added, "We are considering placing staff throughout the store or installing doors on the beverage display shelves to drive them away."
Netizens who saw the video responded with comments such as "If you see it in person, it’s so absurd you wouldn’t even get angry," "Funny sights like this only happen in China," "I want to pretend it’s an accident and step over him," "How can anyone get drinks from there? It’s so unhygienic," and "They should be banned from entering."
