With the establishment of Socar Zones at Incheon Airport, users can choose from various airport transportation options. First, vehicle rental and return will be possible at the airport Socar Zones. Previously, users had to use the call service two hours before the rental start to summon a vehicle to the airport and return the vehicle at their destination. Going forward, users can rent a vehicle directly at the Socar Zone without using the call service and travel one-way to their destination, as well as use round-trip services by renting a vehicle at the airport and returning it there.

Traveling to the airport has also become more convenient. Last year, among customers who returned Socar vehicles at the airport, 6 out of 10 used the call service, and 4 used one-way rentals. Both services required users to find parking spaces within the airport, park the vehicle, and notify the location. With the establishment of the Socar Zone at Incheon Airport, users no longer need to find parking spaces within the airport; they can return vehicles to the dedicated spaces secured by Socar and conveniently take a shuttle bus to the airport.

Socar has registered a total of 6,000 vehicles in the 20 secured parking spaces. Users can utilize 6,000 vehicles operated in Socar Zones within the metropolitan area, within 70 km of the airport, for airport transportation purposes with one-way service available. Socar has deployed preferred vehicle types for airport travel in the service, ranging from compact cars with spacious interiors like the The New Ray, to compact sedans, sport utility vehicles (SUVs), mid-to-large sedans, and 9-seater Carnival vans.

Kim Shin-myung, Head of Socar Carsharing Division, said, "A service hub that can actively target airport transportation demand has been established," adding, "We will continue to enhance the service so that carsharing can encompass and absorb various airport transportation needs as a new alternative."
