In the following match, world No. 8 Kim Won-ho - Jung Na-eun defeated Malaysia's Chen Tang Jie - Toi Wei 2-0 (21-19, 21-14). After narrowly edging out Malaysia by one point in the first game, they scored consecutive points in the second game to confirm their place in the final.
