On the 31st (local time), Park Ha-jun scored 572 points in the final of the 50m rifle three positions event at the Paris Olympic Shooting Center in Ch?teauroux, France, finishing in 44th place. He did not secure a spot in the final, which is reserved for the top 8 competitors. The rifle three positions event is not originally Park Ha-jun's main discipline. He qualified and participated to gain experience.
Park Ha-jun competed in three events at this tournament: the men's 10m air rifle individual, mixed team air rifle, and 50m rifle three positions. His main event was the 10m air rifle, but he did not advance to the final. The medal came from the mixed air rifle event, where he paired with Geum Ji-hyun (Gyeonggi Province Office) to win the silver medal.
In the 50m rifle three positions qualification on this day, Liu Yukun (China) scored 594 out of a perfect 600 points, setting a new Olympic qualification record and advancing in first place. Park Ha-jun is scheduled to return to Incheon International Airport on the 3rd of next month.
