The 16th Seoul International Architecture Film Festival, hosted and organized by the Korea Institute of Registered Architects, will open this September.
On the 31st, the Korea Institute of Registered Architects held a press conference at the Architects Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul, announcing this. Offline screenings will take place from September 5 to 8 at Art House Momo inside Ewha Womans University, and online screenings will be available from September 8 to 15 via Naver TV.
This year, 32 films from 19 countries are scheduled to be screened. The opening film is "Radical Landscapes" directed by Elettra Fiumi. Director Fiumi’s work follows the legacy of her father, who imagined innovative architecture with a radical architectural group, discovering the experimental utopia her father dreamed of.
The festival’s screenings are organized into six sections: "Opening Film," "Master & Masterpiece," "Master & Masterpiece Special: J-Architecture," "Urbanscape," "Beyond: Korean Short Films and Architecture," and "Special Section: Architecture, Art, and Platform."
