Shinan County Council Chairman Lee Sang-ju Elected as Second Half Chairman of Jeollanam-do City and County Council Chairmen Association

Sangju Lee, New Chairman, "I Will Do My Best to Achieve the Development of Local Autonomy"

The Shinan County Council in Jeollanam-do announced on the 31st that it held the 294th monthly meeting of the Jeollanam-do City and County Council Chairpersons' Association (hereinafter referred to as the Jeonnam Chairpersons' Association) in Yeosu City and elected Lee Sang-ju, Chairman of the Shinan County Council, as the chairperson for the second half of the term.

Newly appointed Chairman Lee Sang-ju said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to former Chairman Kang Pil-gu, who devoted himself to regional development and strengthening the role of local councils during the first half of the term, and I pay infinite respect to the many chairpersons who supported me."

The 294th Monthly Meeting of the Jeollanam-do City and County Council Chairpersons Association was held, and Lee Sang-ju, Chairman of the Shinan County Council (fifth from the right), was elected as the second half chairman of the association, followed by a commemorative photo session.

He continued, "Through this opportunity, I will do my best to enhance the capabilities of local councils and achieve the development of local autonomy by promoting the enactment of the Local Council Act, securing independence of local council audit authority, and urging an increase in policy support staff."

Chairman Lee Sang-ju previously served as the Chairperson of the Industry and Construction Committee in the first half of both the 8th and 9th Shinan County Councils, and since being elected as the chairperson for the second half of the 9th Shinan County Council, he has been leading efforts to resolve various regional issues.

The Jeonnam Chairpersons' Association recognized Chairman Lee Sang-ju's leadership and capabilities through this election and welcomed the new chairman for the development of local councils. Expectations are rising regarding the achievements Chairman Lee will accomplish going forward.
