Icheon-si to Launch New City Bus Routes 212 and 281 Starting Tomorrow

Connecting Bubal-eup and Baeksa-myeon to Gyeonggang Line Train Stations

On the 31st, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that starting from the 1st of next month, it will operate new city bus routes '212' and '281' connecting Bubal-eup and Baeksa-myeon areas with major stations on the Gyeonggang Line.

The city explained that the establishment of these routes aims to improve subway accessibility in Bubal-eup and Baeksa-myeon areas. This initiative was promoted by Mayor Kim Kyung-hee of Icheon City, reflecting local residents' requests during the operation of the Southern Market Office.


Bus number 212 departs from Daegwan-ri in Bubal-eup, passing through Sinwon-ri, Bubal Station, Hyoyang Middle and High Schools, and travels to Icheon Station. It operates five times a day. Bus number 281 runs five times daily between Baeksa-myeon Office, Gyeongsari, Jiseok-ri, Sindun Station, and Icheon Station.


For detailed timetables of the new routes, please refer to the Icheon City website. In addition to establishing new routes, the city plans to improve operational efficiency by reorganizing existing route number 12, including passing through the outlet area.


Mayor Kim said, "We will continue to strive to provide convenient public transportation services to citizens through the reorganization of city bus routes."
