"Meeting Mokpo Citizens Is the Best Fatigue Reliever"...Promise to Communicate on Local Issues
Kim Won-i, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (Mokpo City), stayed up all night answering questions during the filibuster (unlimited debate) on the Broadcasting Act from midnight to 6 a.m. on the 26th, and after arriving late at night in Mokpo, he has been busy attending to local issues.
On the 27th, Representative Kim held a meeting with the executives of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss the difficulties faced by local industries and businesses.
During the meeting, they discussed the urgent passage of the Special Act on Offshore Wind Power, deregulation related to cargo handling, strengthening the competitiveness of aluminum hydroxide production companies, expanding the use of domestic raw materials, and the importance of supporting secondary battery raw material production companies.

In particular, Representative Kim judged that addressing current issues and communication are essential to overcoming the local economic crisis and promised regular communication with the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Over the weekend, he continued his communication activities throughout Mokpo by participating in events such as the Peace Road Unification March, the Mokpo Parents' Association family picnic camp, a private taxi association meeting, and the Jeonnam Women Writers' Association Namdo Love Society.
Representative Kim Won-i said, “I will continue to listen directly to the voices of citizens and carefully attend to local issues,” adding, “I will thoroughly address the civil complaints related to Mokpo New Port and industrial waste issues requested by the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.”
He also said, “Although my body feels as tired as a wet cotton, my mind feels refreshed. Meeting the citizens of Mokpo is the best remedy for my fatigue,” and expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank all the citizens of Mokpo who warmly welcomed me.”
