Lotte Distribution Group announced on the 31st that it will hold the 2nd "Lotte Distribution Group Women Leaders Workshop" for two days from the 1st to the 2nd of next month at the Lotte Human Resources Development Institute Osan Campus.
Following last year, this second workshop was organized to support the growth of women leaders in the Lotte Distribution Group and to provide a platform for communication. The workshop will be attended by 30 women leaders of S (Senior) grade from the Distribution Group HQ and its affiliated companies. Kim Sang-hyun, the General Representative (Vice Chairman) of Lotte Distribution Group, female executives from affiliated companies, and HR personnel from the Distribution Group will also participate.

The Women Leaders Workshop originated from female employees’ opinions wishing for more women leaders to gather in one place during Kim Sang-hyun Vice Chairman’s employee communication program called "Let’s Saemmul."
At the 1st Women Leaders Workshop held last November, women leaders from nine affiliated companies of the Distribution Group gathered to share career development, workplace difficulties, and grievances, and discussed improvement measures. In particular, participants showed positive responses, feeling motivation and a sense of belonging regarding women leaders’ growth, and expressed high satisfaction with the career roadmap establishment process.
The slogan for this Women Leaders Workshop was chosen as "WILL," derived from the first letters of the English phrase "Women In Lotte Leadership." It conveys the message of creating a foundation for women leaders to grow and envision the future. The workshop’s key visual color uses purple, symbolizing International Women’s Day, to represent respect for women’s dignity and diversity.
The workshop focuses on establishing career development roadmaps and individual growth through participatory classes and expert lectures. In collaboration with the Jongno Women’s Human Resources Development Center, which signed a business agreement with the Distribution Group in October last year, participatory classes on leadership development will be conducted. Additionally, lectures and mentoring sessions by Vice Chairman Kim Sang-hyun and female executives from affiliated companies will provide networking opportunities among women leaders in the Distribution Group.
Lotte Distribution Group explained that it is putting effort into fostering women leaders, reflecting that the main customers in the distribution industry are women. This is because nurturing women leaders with a high understanding of women’s consumer psychology is essential for customer-centric management.
Kim Sang-hyun, General Representative (Vice Chairman) of Lotte Distribution Group, said, "The Lotte Distribution Group Women Leaders Workshop will not only help realize the importance of the roles of women leaders in the Distribution Group but also serve as an opportunity for women leaders to develop their capabilities and grow further." He added, "Going forward, Lotte Distribution Group will continue to actively support the nurturing and growth of women leaders to enhance both the quantitative and qualitative diversity of the organization."
