Jung Joon-ho, known as a "filial son actor," has been appointed as the ambassador for the senior welfare project "Resident Participation Filial Piety Meal" representing Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Kang-soo).

The "Filial Piety Meal" is the nation's first one-stop service that provides high-quality lunch along with health, legal, and tax consultations for seniors aged 75 and older, gaining nationwide attention beyond the satisfaction of local residents.

Jung Joon-ho, the new face of this Filial Piety Meal project, debuted as part of MBC's 24th public recruitment and has appeared in numerous films and dramas such as "Two Cops," "Glory of the Family," "IRIS," and "SKY Castle," continuing his active career to this day.

On the 30th, Mapo-gu held an appointment ceremony for the Filial Piety Meal ambassador with the attendance of Mayor Park Kang-soo, Mapo-gu ambassador Kim Heung-guk, and the chairman of the Mapo Welfare Foundation, welcoming Jung Joon-ho.

At the ceremony, Jung Joon-ho said, "In this harsh world, the Filial Piety Meal project, which creates a worry-free old age for everyone with respect and filial piety toward seniors, is a policy that should be emulated worldwide beyond Korea," adding, "I am honored to be proposed as the ambassador for such a project, which is truly a 'Glory of the Family.'"

He continued, "Together with Mayor Park Kang-soo, who works passionately for the happiness and welfare of Mapo residents, I will do my best to help the Filial Piety Meal become known worldwide."

Specially attending the ceremony, Mapo-gu ambassador Kim Heung-guk said, "Before being a top star, Jung Joon-ho is the most filial son when you see how he serves his parents and seniors," and added, "He is the most fitting ambassador for Mapo-gu's 'Filial Piety Meal' project."

Jung Joon-ho will take the lead in promoting Mapo-gu and the "Filial Piety Meal" project by participating in promotional video productions, various festivals, and events.

Mayor Park Kang-soo of Mapo-gu said, "I sincerely thank Jung Joon-ho for willingly accepting the role of ambassador for the residents of Mapo-gu," and added, "We ask for your support and encouragement for the new Filial Piety Meal ambassador Jung Joon-ho so that the seniors of Mapo-gu, ranked number one in happiness index, can enjoy a healthier old age."
