On the 29th, HS Hyosung held a park adoption agreement ceremony for Seorae Park in Seocho-gu, attended by Cho Hyun-sang, Vice Chairman of HS Hyosung, and Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, along with a commemorative tree planting event. Vice Chairman Cho declared 'value management,' which enhances the value of all stakeholders including shareholders, customers, neighbors, and society, in line with the launch of HS Hyosung, and conducted this event as one of the activities to practice it.
Park adoption is a system where citizens participate in the maintenance and management of parks to promote active use of the parks. This is the first time a company has committed to contributing to society through the park adoption system. Through this agreement, HS Hyosung plans to continuously manage Seorae Park, one of Seocho-gu’s representative parks, to make it more pleasant and safe for use.
The event held in conjunction with the re-listing also included a commemorative tree planting ceremony featuring one of HS Hyosung’s symbols, the ‘tree,’ adding significance to value management along with the re-listing. It symbolizes the hope that the newly starting HS Hyosung will take firm root like a ‘tree’ and grow into a beloved company and a great tree that provides clean air and healthy rest.
HS Hyosung also announced that it will soon unveil its new CI (Corporate Identity). Vice Chairman Cho explained, “Just as stars in the night sky serve as guides, we chose the ‘star,’ symbolizing the philosophy of industrial patriotism, and the ‘tree,’ representing a healthy future, strong vitality, continuous value creation, and sharing, as the motifs for HS Hyosung’s new CI.”
The red pine tree planted that day also symbolizes ‘strength’ and ‘endurance,’ thriving even in harsh environments. The image of multiple branches forming a magnificent tree embodies the meaning of ‘prospering together,’ which aligns with HS Hyosung’s catchphrase, ‘Value Together.’
Vice Chairman Cho said, “It is especially meaningful to be able to contribute a small help to society on the day HS Hyosung is re-listed,” adding, “I hope this good momentum continues to enhance the value of all stakeholders.”
Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, stated, “For the local community to become healthier and happier, the public and private sectors must unite their hearts,” and added, “I look forward to Seocho-gu and HS Hyosung shining together by practicing ‘Value Together,’ as exemplified by this first corporate case of park adoption, and I support HS Hyosung’s value management.”
Meanwhile, after the agreement ceremony, Vice Chairman Cho Hyun-sang and about 20 executives and employees created a hydrangea flower bed and carried out environmental cleanup activities such as weeding in Seorae-gol Neighborhood Park. This is their second volunteer activity following the Purme Social Farm volunteer work at the end of last month.
