Uljin-gun Holds Briefing on Implementation Plan for the 33rd Korea Forestry Successors National Convention

Aiming for a Festival of Unity Enjoyed by Forest Workers Nationwide and Uljin Residents

Uljin County, North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Son Byungbok), held an implementation plan briefing session for the successful hosting of the 33rd Korea Forestry Successors National Conference on the 29th at the county office's main conference room.

The briefing session was attended by over 50 people, including Governor Son Byungbok, heads of departments and offices, town and township chiefs, and representatives from the Korea Forestry Successors Association, the North Gyeongsang Province branch, and the Uljin County council. The event proceeded with a report on the implementation plan for the national conference, followed by a Q&A and discussion.


The Korea Forestry Successors National Conference will be held from September 5 to 7 at Wangpicheon Park in Uljin County, with an expected attendance of around 10,000 people.


The national conference program consists of: ① official events including opening and closing ceremonies and an awards ceremony; ② cultural events such as a forest product cooking contest, forestry family singing contest, fireworks display, and celebratory performances; ③ side events including exhibitions, experience and promotional booths related to forestry, forestry counseling and consulting, and forest product evaluation and tasting events; and ④ academic events such as invited lectures, forums, and special lectures.


Additionally, to allow forestry professionals from across the country to enjoy tourist attractions during their visit to "The Breath of Korea, Uljin," a ⑤ Uljin Healing Tour program is being added during the event period.


Through this implementation plan briefing, the goals, progress, and challenges of the national conference were reviewed, serving as an opportunity to establish the direction for preparations in the remaining month.


Choi Sangtae, President of the Korea Forestry Successors Association, stated, "We will create the best Korea Forestry Successors National Conference ever," and expressed his gratitude to Uljin County for their active cooperation in preparing for the national conference.


Governor Son Byungbok pledged, "We will thoroughly prepare in various ways to ensure a meaningful national conference where forestry professionals from all over the country and Uljin residents come together," vowing a successful hosting of the event.
