Yuhan Yanghaeng Conducts 'Beodeul Science Career Camp' for Youth Career Experience

The Beodeul Science Career Camp is a career experience program in the pharmaceutical and bio fields that Yuhan Corporation has been conducting for youth since 2019. Last year, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education for its related achievements and was selected for the ‘Education Donation Career Experience Certification Program.’

The program is conducted in cooperation with the Dongjak-gu Career and Job Experience Support Center, a specialized career exploration institution. This year, three schools in Dongjak-gu?Dongjak High School, Seongnam High School, and Sungui Girls’ High School?participated. After conducting online education for each school since last month, a tour program was held on the 26th at Yuhan Corporation’s headquarters on the 15th floor, with a total of 112 students participating.

During the online education sessions held three times since last month, students experienced an online laboratory tour, a career special lecture about Dr. Yuilhan, who values social contribution, and mentoring by researchers to address questions about new drug development and career paths.

At the headquarters tour, programs were provided to help youth understand the pharmaceutical and bio industry and explore careers, including a special lecture on the pharmaceutical and bio industry, a new drug and service development idea contest for patients, and a visit to the Dr. Yuilhan Memorial Hall.

On the day, Oh Se-woong, Vice President of the Central Research Institute, said in his greeting, “We are very pleased to hold the Beodeul Science Career Camp, which provides career exploration opportunities to youth who have great interest in the pharmaceutical and bio fields,” and added, “We hope this camp becomes a practical career experience venue that helps youth who will lead the future K-pharmaceutical and bio industry.”

Go Seo-yeon, a first-year student at Dongjak High School who participated in the program, said, “I have always liked life sciences, but choosing a career path was overwhelming. Through this Beodeul Science Career Camp, I learned in detail about new drug development and the pharmaceutical industry, which gave me an opportunity to explore various career paths.” Kim Jin-hoon, head of the career department at Sungui Girls’ High School, also said, “It is a valuable effort that Yuhan Corporation, a representative company of Dongjak-gu, operates a professional career program for local youth, which greatly helps students prepare for their careers,” and added, “I hope it will continue to expand in the future.”
