SKT signed the Excalibur supply contract with Myvetcare, a Malaysian pet medical equipment distributor, at the global pet forum 'FASAVA Congress 2024.' The FASAVA Congress 2024 is a forum where veterinarians from the Asia-Pacific region present research results on pets and promote business exchanges among member companies.

Myvetcare is the largest local comprehensive pet distributor handling diagnostic equipment and pharmaceuticals. The two companies plan to start commercial services of Excalibur in animal hospitals located throughout Malaysia in the third quarter of this year.

Additionally, SKT has begun supplying Excalibur to Happy Pet hospital in Thailand. Happy Pet is a large general animal hospital located in Bangkok, Thailand, providing total care services related to pets such as Pet Park and Pet Taxi.

In Vietnam, SKT partnered with Vet Sky Holdings, which owns pet diagnostic equipment, solutions, and animal hospital chains. Starting this month, Excalibur has been utilized for pet diagnostics at the Sky Animal Medical Center located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Local hospitals in Thailand and Vietnam plan to continuously cooperate with SKT to establish AI-based diagnostic assistance services in the local pet markets.

The Southeast Asian pet market is rapidly growing. According to the market research firm Global Pet, last year the Southeast Asian pet market was approximately 3.3 billion USD (about 4.55 trillion KRW), with an average annual growth rate of 15% over the past five years.

SKT plans to gradually expand the introduction of Excalibur’s advanced AI diagnostic solutions in Southeast Asia. They aim to elevate pet diagnostic services in the region by promoting AI utilization training for local veterinarians.

Excalibur began its commercial expansion starting with Australia this year, followed by entry into North America, the largest pet market, and now has successfully commercialized in key Southeast Asian countries, continuing its global market expansion.

Ha Min-yong, Head of SKT Global Solution Office (CDO), stated, "Through this contract, we expect that SKT’s AI capabilities will contribute to advancing the pet medical environment in the Southeast Asian pet market."
