The Nonsan City Council in Chungnam announced on the 29th that council member Lee Taemo has been awarded the '2024 Proud Korean Award for Contributions to Legislative Development'.
Lee was recognized for his dedication to loyalty, filial piety, service, and good deeds, as well as his strong sense of duty and firm national perspective, which have contributed not only to national development but also to promoting the excellence of Korean culture and arts both domestically and internationally.
He was also highly praised for enacting ordinances such as the 'Nonsan City Ordinance on the Prevention and Support of Solitary Deaths among Elderly Living Alone' and the 'Nonsan City Single-Person Household Support Ordinance', which are aimed at supporting the socially disadvantaged and marginalized groups.
Lee stated, "I will continue to do my best in my role as a public servant who listens to even the smallest voices of the citizens for their happiness."
