Recruiting 60 People Until the 2nd of Next Month
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) is operating the "Omiogam Food Experience Program," where fathers and their children in grades 1 to 3 of elementary school can learn to prepare healthy meals using seasonal ingredients during the vacation period.
This program is designed to enhance children's ability to experience the natural flavors of food and choose good foods through sensory activities and nutrition education. It also aims to help the entire family develop healthy eating habits.
The classes will use the "2024 Healthy Gangnam Table Seasonal Food Calendar," produced by the district earlier this year, to help participants unfamiliar with seasonal foods become more familiar with their nutrition and value. For August, corn and peaches have been selected as the seasonal ingredients, and the classes will include ▲ exploring ingredients and completing activity sheets ▲ making corn chicken breast balls and peach Greek yogurt ▲ setting future family meal goals and sharing experience impressions.
The classes are divided into in-person and online participation. In-person sessions will be held twice, with 30 participants each time, totaling 60 people, on August 9 and 12 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at SCOOK Cheongdam Cooking Academy (27 Dosan-daero 61-gil).
Online participation is available for 40 people, and from August 13 to 20, participants can visit the Nutrition Plus Room on the first floor of the health center on a first-come, first-served basis to receive educational materials and seasonal food recipes.
Registration for in-person participation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from July 30 to August 2. Detailed information can be found in the announcements section of the health center’s website, and those wishing to participate can apply through the "Education Application" menu on the website.
