Gangseo-gu Quickly Shares District News Using 'QR Code'

Customized Information by Age and Field at Once: 'Saeromi-reul Scanhaseaerom'

Gangseo-gu Quickly Shares District News Using 'QR Code'

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) has created a QR code called ‘Saeromireul Scanhasaerom’ that allows residents to check various policy projects by age group and category all at once.

‘Saeromireul Scanhasaerom’ is an administrative information service provided through a QR code, designed to help residents easily and familiarly access district news by utilizing the district character, Saeromi.

Until now, district promotional media such as newsletters, social networking services (SNS), and text alert services required prior procedures like registration and subscription applications, limiting their use. To address this, residents can now simply scan the QR code without any complicated steps to be connected to bulletin boards sorted by age and category, where they can check detailed district information.

Looking at detailed information by age group: ▲(Teens) entrance exam briefings, vacation programs, video content contests ▲(20s-30s) youth employment support, housekeeping care services for pregnant women ▲(40s-50s) education and training for women with career experience, information on the sale of volume-based waste bags accessible via QR code ▲(60 and above) stretching classes, psychological counseling support, methods to handle noise conflicts between floors, etc., classified according to the information mainly viewed by each age group.

Additionally, the information is divided into categories such as ▲education and culture administration ▲economy and environment ▲welfare and health ▲safety and transportation, making it easy to find the desired information. District news is provided in card news format, which is visually noticeable and delivers information quickly.

The district office will distribute QR code stickers to over 1,000 multi-use facilities including apartment complexes, public institutions, and welfare and cultural facilities to promote the new administrative information service ‘Saeromireul Scanhasaerom.’ They are also focusing on promotion by distributing promotional QR code fans to visitors at the district office and community service centers.

Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “We created the QR code so that residents can access district information more easily. We plan to actively promote and implement various policy projects that residents desire, so we hope many residents will use the QR code service.”
