AhnLab Reports Q2 Operating Profit of 3.5 Billion KRW, Down 19.1% Year-on-Year

Sales of 59.9 Billion Won... 800 Million Won Increase Compared to Last Year

AhnLab announced on the 29th that its consolidated sales for the second quarter of this year reached 59.9 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 3.5 billion KRW. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 800 million KRW, while operating profit decreased by 800 million KRW.

On a separate basis, sales were 53.3 billion KRW and operating profit was 6.4 billion KRW, representing a decrease in sales of 1.4 billion KRW and an increase in operating profit of 600 million KRW compared to the same period last year.

For the first half of 2024, consolidated sales amounted to 109.4 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 3.6 billion KRW (separate basis sales of 98.9 billion KRW and operating profit of 9.2 billion KRW).

This reflects a decrease of 1 billion KRW in consolidated sales and 2.9 billion KRW in operating profit compared to the same period last year. On a separate basis, sales decreased by 3.8 billion KRW and operating profit decreased by 800 million KRW compared to the same period last year.

An AhnLab representative stated, "In the first half of this year, we saw steady growth in products and services including the V3 product line, cloud security products, and convergence products such as MDS and TI," adding, "There was some impact on the consolidated operating profit for the first half due to the slowdown in the network security equipment (HW) market and continued investment in research and development (R&D)."
