91.42% Approval in Party Member Vote
"We Must Win Both the Next Local and Presidential Elections"

Moon Jinseok, a National Assembly member representing Cheonan (Gap), has been elected as the chairman of the Chungnam Provincial Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea.
The Chungnam Provincial Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea held its 1st regular party member convention at the Chungcheongnam-do Transportation Training Institute at 10 a.m. on the 28th and elected Moon Jinseok (Cheonan Gap), who ran unopposed, as the committee chairman.
Chairman Moon will lead the Chungnam Provincial Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea for the next two years, having received 91.42% approval in a vote among party members with voting rights from the 25th to the 27th.
In his acceptance speech, Moon Jinseok stated, "I will usher in an era of 100,000 voting party members in Chungnam," and emphasized, "To save the people who are in distress and to restore the nation, we must win both the local and presidential elections here in Chungnam."
Moon Jinseok previously served as chief secretary to the Chungnam governor in 2018, special committee member for public communication at the Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development in 2019, and vice president of the Yu Gwansun Memorial Project Association. He was first elected to the 21st National Assembly representing Cheonan (Gap) in 2020 and was re-elected in the 22nd general election.
