From August, eligibility verification for residence, disability, pregnancy, and age 65+ can be done online when booking public services... No separate issuance or submission of supporting documents required, reducing processing time and improving convenience and resident satisfaction
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jung Won-oh) will launch the 'Rapid Reservation System Non-face-to-face Eligibility Verification Service' starting in August to enable residents to use various public services more conveniently.
Last October, the district established the Rapid Reservation System to allow users to check and book various public services in one place. Through the Rapid Reservation System, users can conveniently reserve a wide range of public services such as education, lectures, experiences, tours, item sharing, lifestyle services, event participation applications, and facility reservations.
However, when using the Rapid Reservation System, there has been an inconvenience in that users had to separately obtain and submit supporting documents to verify eligibility or receive discounts for persons with disabilities and other beneficiaries.
In response, the district introduced the 'Non-face-to-face Eligibility Verification Service' to enable real-time online verification of eligibility and discount qualification. Users can receive eligibility verification services for 10 categories including residence, disability, low-income, beneficiaries, national merit recipients, pregnant women, multi-child families, single-parent families, and those aged 65 or older through administrative information sharing.
The service is scheduled to be fully implemented starting in August, eliminating unnecessary procedures for issuing supporting documents and shortening processing times, thereby enhancing user convenience and significantly improving resident satisfaction.
The Rapid Reservation System can be accessed and used through the 'Rapid Reservation' section on the Seongdong-gu Office website.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "With the implementation of the 'Non-face-to-face Eligibility Verification Service,' we expect residents to use public services more conveniently," and added, "We will continue to enhance resident satisfaction through various administrative services that improve daily convenience."
