President Yoon Suk-yeol sent his congratulations on the 27th to the national athletes competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, saying, "We will support you with one heart together with the people until the very end," he said.

Through a congratulatory message on Facebook that day, President Yoon stated, "The challenges of the national representatives who surpass their limits will continue."

Regarding the women's handball national team that defeated the strong German team, President Yoon said, "The fighting spirit that overturned a 4-goal deficit and succeeded in taking the lead 22 seconds before the end was exactly like the 2004 'Woosangsun (Our Best Moment in Life).'" He added, "The Ganggangsullae ceremony shown by all the players gathered after the victory deeply moved me and all the people of the Republic of Korea."

He then congratulated the mixed team of shooting 10-meter air rifle, Geum Ji-hyun and Park Ha-jun, on their silver medal, saying, "It is our country's first medal at the Paris Olympics and the first medal in the air rifle event in 24 years," and "You really worked hard."
