Lee Jaemyung, the candidate for leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, achieved a landslide victory in the South Gyeongsang primary, recording a vote rate in the 80% range.
In the online vote for party members with voting rights, held at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO) in South Gyeongsang this afternoon, Lee received 87.22% of the votes, securing first place in the South Gyeongsang primary.
Candidate Kim Dugwan received 11.67%, while candidate Kim Jisoo received 1.11% of the votes.

Earlier on the same day, Lee recorded a vote rate of 90.6% in the Ulsan primary and 91.7% in the Busan primary.
In the Supreme Council member election, the vote rates were as follows: Kim Minseok 19.75%, Jung Bongju 16.99%, Han Junho 13.77%, Kim Byungju 3.03%, Jeon Hyunhee 12.81%, Lee Eonju 11.93%, Min Hyeongbae 6.14%, and Kang Seonwoo 5.67%.
The regional tour primaries, held a total of 15 times, will conclude in Seoul on August 17.
