"With the Power of Young Farmers for Agricultural Transformation and Overcoming Low Birthrate"... Uljin County Hosts Gyeongbuk 4-H Young Farmers Unity Festival

In Uljin-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, the 'One Mind Festival for 4-H Young Farmers from Seven Cities and Counties of North Gyeongsang Province' was successfully held on the 24th at the High Beach Water Park in Geunnam-myeon (Mangyangjeong Beach area), with over 120 4-H young farmers in attendance, along with Uljin County Governor Son Byeongbok, Uljin County Council Chair Kim Jeonghee and council members, North Gyeongsang Provincial Assembly member Kim Jaejun, and heads of local agricultural organizations and agencies.

"With the Power of Young Farmers for Agricultural Transformation and Overcoming Low Birthrate"... Uljin County Hosts Gyeongbuk 4-H Young Farmers Unity Festival Uljin County, which hosted the Gyeongbuk Province 7 Cities and Counties 4-H Young Farmers Unity Festival.

The 4-H Young Farmers One Mind Festival was organized by the Uljin County 4-H Association to promote unity among 4-H young farmers from seven cities and counties along the East Coast of North Gyeongsang Province. This event, under the theme 'Agricultural Transformation and Overcoming Low Birthrates! Powered by Young Farmers!', provided an opportunity for exchange and sharing of farming information among young farmers from the seven regions.


On this day, Hwang Hyun, Vice President of the Uljin County 4-H Association, stated in his address, "To overcome the challenges facing rural areas such as aging populations, low birthrates, and the climate crisis, 4-H young farmers must come together and shape the future of our local agriculture with our own hands."


Additionally, Governor Son Byeongbok encouraged participants by saying, "Young farmers are leading agricultural transformation by cultivating double crops in field-specialized zones, operating smart farms for shiitake mushrooms, and using cold storage for seasonal crops like onions to reduce management costs and increase income. I hope that the 4-H young farmers from the seven cities and counties will continue to lead the future and development of agriculture through unity and communication."
