More than 30 members from cooperative organizations including Mokpo Volunteer Crime Prevention Corps, Jukgyo Volunteer Crime Prevention Corps, Citizens Police Association, and Jukgyo-dong Saemaeul Women's Association participated, conducting foot patrols focusing on crime-vulnerable areas such as Noeul Park, Bukhang Hoe Town, Hongil High School, and the Marine Cable Car station, which are areas with one-room apartments and dense crowds.
Kim Beomsang, Chief of Mokpo Police Station, expressed gratitude to the cooperative members who took the lead for residents' safety despite the hot weather, saying, "We will continue to activate community policing activities that residents can practically experience and participate in to alleviate citizens' anxiety, create opportunities to communicate with local residents, and devote full efforts to continuous crime prevention activities."
This joint patrol further strengthened the safety of the area and enhanced the cooperative system between residents and the police.
