Woo Hong-seop, former Deputy Governor of Jindo County, was appointed as an adjunct professor for external cooperation at Chosun University on the 24th.
As an adjunct professor for external cooperation at Chosun University, Woo will engage in various activities aimed at strengthening competitiveness and establishing a future growth ecosystem through exchanges and cooperation with the government, universities, and related organizations.
He graduated from elementary, middle, and high schools in his hometown of Wando Gogeum and later earned a degree in Public Administration from Chosun University. Having retired at the end of June, he began his public service career in 1994 in Wando as a Grade 7 public official. He has served as Secretary to the Vice Governor for Political (Economic) Affairs of Jeollanam-do, Head of the Marine Fisheries Policy Team, Director of the Marine Fisheries Division of Sinan County, Planning Director of the F1 Organizing Committee, and Director of the Social Welfare Division of Jeollanam-do.

In particular, during his tenure as Head of the Marine Fisheries Policy Team of Jeollanam-do, he actively responded to changes in the future fisheries industry and contributed to revitalizing the fisheries sector by entrusting the Korean Fisheries Venture University program to Chosun University.
Despite recent challenging conditions, Jindo County has demonstrated record-breaking achievements, proving his administrative capabilities. The local community expects that Woo’s appointment as an adjunct professor at Chosun University will provide new momentum for the future growth of Jindo County.
