From the 27th of this month to the 31st of next month, every Saturday at 2 PM, Naju City in Jeollanam-do will hold a music performance titled ‘Cultural Salon in Naju Theater’ at the Naju Nabilella Culture Center.
According to the city on the 26th, this performance is part of a pilot program for a cultural regeneration project aimed at transforming Naju Theater into a cultural complex space.
By linking and utilizing the Nabilella Culture Center located near Naju Theater, the city plans to promote the revitalization of cultural tourism in the old downtown area.
The city, together with the Naju branch of the Korea Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations, will present performances featuring a variety of music genres including fusion gugak, folk, popera, classical, and ballads to the residents.
The performances can be viewed free of charge without prior reservation.
A city official stated, “Through the weekend Cultural Salon performances, it is expected that citizens and tourists will have opportunities to enjoy culture close to their daily lives,” and added, “We ask for much interest and cooperation in the cultural regeneration of Naju Theater, which will be reborn as a resident-led complex cultural space.”
