Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on the 26th that the assets under management of the ‘Mirae Asset Global Asset Allocation Balanced Fund’ have surpassed 50 billion KRW.
According to the fund rating agency KG Zeroin, as of the 25th, the assets under management of the ‘Mirae Asset Global Asset Allocation Balanced Fund’ stand at 50.7 billion KRW. Since its launch on July 1, 2023, the fund has exceeded 50 billion KRW in assets under management in about one year.
The Mirae Asset Global Asset Allocation Balanced Fund diversifies investments across global assets to achieve stable long-term performance despite volatility in the financial markets. It invests 50% in equities and the remaining 50% in bonds and gold, which have low correlation with stocks, thereby constructing a balanced portfolio. The fund invests in ETFs tracking representative indices of each asset class, enabling more intuitive performance analysis compared to traditional asset allocation funds.
The Mirae Asset Global Asset Allocation Balanced Fund adjusts the allocation of equities, bonds, and gold within ±20% based on a 3 to 12-month outlook of the global financial markets. This approach aims to prevent investors from experiencing prolonged underperformance or missing opportunities to invest in other themes when specific sectors or themes enter a downturn, thereby securing stable long-term returns.
The fund has demonstrated excellent returns by responding flexibly to financial market volatility. As of the 25th, the cumulative return since inception (on a currency-exposed basis) was 14.78%. Its year-to-date returns also outperformed the average returns of funds of the same type.
Son Su-jin, Head of WM Pension Marketing at Mirae Asset Global Investments, stated, "The Mirae Asset Global Asset Allocation Balanced Fund manages risk through balanced investments by combining equities with bonds and gold, which serve as strong hedges for risky assets." She added, "We will strive to deliver steady and stable long-term performance despite the ups and downs of the global financial markets through efficient short- and long-term asset allocation."
