Suncheon City Hosts 'Garden Art Festival' as a Midsummer Night Gift

On the 27th at Joryeho Lake Park, on the 28th at Ocheon Green Square

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Nogwan-gyu) announced that the '2024 Garden Arts Festival' will be held at Jorye Lake Park on the 27th (Sat) at 7 PM and at Ocheon Green Square on the 28th (Sun) at 5:30 PM.

The '2024 Garden Arts Festival,' organized by the Suncheon Federation of Arts and Culture, will feature over 200 artists from the Suncheon area under the theme .

On the 27th at Jorye Lake Park, a variety of performances including original plays, traditional performances, dance, orchestral ensembles, male quartets, and band performances will take place. There will also be animation OST performances befitting K-Disney Suncheon, followed by a finale performance showcasing the unity of Suncheon Federation of Arts and Culture members. In addition to exhibitions, various experience programs such as fan and seal carving crafts, and relay canvas painting will be prepared.

On the 28th at Ocheon Green Square, performances, exhibitions, and experience programs will be held along Eosing-gil, allowing citizens to freely enjoy a midsummer night's garden cultural arts festival in nature.

Furthermore, in connection with the Garden Arts Festival, the 25th Suncheon Youth Arts Festival will be held on the 27th (Sat) at 4 PM at the Jorye Lake Park performance hall, and the exhibition of winning entries from the 26th Pretty Postcard Design Contest will be open for two days from the 27th (Sat) to the 28th (Sun).

A representative of the Suncheon Federation of Arts and Culture stated, “Through the Garden Arts Festival, we plan to showcase the excellence of Suncheon arts and gift citizens a happy day with diverse programs,” adding, “We ask for much interest and participation, hoping this event will contribute to the creation of Suncheon as a cultural city.”

Meanwhile, the Suncheon Federation of Arts and Culture has maintained the legacy of Suncheon arts for over 40 years and is striving to expand the cultural and artistic enjoyment rights of Suncheon citizens through high-quality artistic activities.
