The signing ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman Kim Dong-chan, Yoon Jung-sun, Head of the National Pension Service Gwangju Regional Headquarters, and 20 executives and employees from the East Gwangju Branch (Branch Manager Jeong Jun-ok), North Gwangju Branch (Branch Manager Heo Hyun-sook), and Naju Branch (Branch Manager Jo Gye-mun).

The Gwangju Employers Federation will promote the National Pension’s voluntary enrollment for those aged 18, foreigner enrollment, and benefit receipt systems to its member companies, while the National Pension Service will cooperate in retirement preparation education and counseling, job creation by the Employers Federation, and corporate support projects.

Yoon Jung-sun, Head of the Regional Headquarters, said, “We will hold business briefings for about 2,300 member companies of the Gwangju Employers Federation and employees of local small and medium-sized enterprises to expand National Pension enrollment, and through on-site counseling, we will provide customized plan support and pursue system improvement.”

Vice Chairman Kim Dong-chan said, “Due to the current difficult economic situation, early termination of private pensions is increasing, raising concerns about elderly poverty. It is a time when systematic retirement preparation through the National Pension is more necessary.”

He added, “In the future, we will support systematic retirement preparation not only for employees of member companies but also for local subscribers through pension system briefings, counseling, and promotion.”

In 2023, the Gwangju Employers Federation provided stable jobs to 4,019 young and middle-aged people in our region and conducts job placement and counseling for more than 300 unemployed people daily.

In particular, it operates the Middle-aged Tomorrow Centers within the Gwangju Employment Welfare Plus Center and the Gwangsan Employment Welfare Plus Center, providing employment, job transition, life planning, and employment education for middle-aged individuals aged 35 and older.
