Female Customer Visiting Cafe Charges Phone Without Ordering
"Please Order a Drink," When Complained, She Said, "Why Me?"
Arrogantly Threatened, "I Will Report to the Media"
A bizarre story has emerged about a customer who visited a cafe and charged their phone and laptop for over 30 minutes without placing an order. Even more controversial was the customer's confident response to the cafe owner's request to order, saying, "I don't want to drink anything."

Recently, a post titled "A customer who charges their laptop and phone for 30 minutes and just leaves. When I complained, they threatened to report me to the media" was uploaded on an online community. The author, A, who identified themselves as a self-employed cafe owner, said, "A female customer came to my cafe and charged her phone and laptop," adding, "She didn’t order anything and was just on her phone, so I waited for a full 30 minutes thinking she might be with someone."
Despite A’s wait, customer B did not place an order. When A cautiously asked if her companions were coming, B showed signs of irritation and, after about 40 minutes inside the cafe, began packing up to leave. Seeing this, A stopped B and said, "You need to order before you leave." To this, B replied somewhat absurdly, "Why should I order? I don’t want to drink anything."
A explained, "She wasn’t just sitting there; I’m not the one paying the electricity bill she used. So I told her, 'You can’t stay if you don’t order,' and said I would have to call the police for trespassing on private property." However, after hearing this, B started causing a scene, filing a complaint with the headquarters and threatening to report the incident to the media. The police who arrived said that a formal incident report was required and ended up letting B go, which was very frustrating," A recounted.
A added, "This is the first time I’ve encountered someone so inconsiderate. I want to report this to the media myself. She looked perfectly normal and well put together, but causing such a fuss made me shudder. The economy is already bad, and it was a very tough day. Please tell me how I should handle this."
Netizens who read the story responded with comments like, "My blood pressure went up just reading this," "People like that don’t think normally, so it’s better to just forget about them," "I really wonder what’s going on in their head," and "I can’t understand why someone lives like that." A netizen C, who also identified as a self-employed person, shared, "There’s an elderly person who sneaks into my store and just takes coffee from the vending machine without paying," advising, "Getting angry over every little thing like that is exhausting. If you want to run a business for a long time, you have to learn to ignore some things."
