Golf Membership Market Faces Low Trading Volume During Monsoon Season

According to Dong-A Membership Trading Center on the 27th, the average price of 100 major memberships traded nationwide is 258.36 million KRW. This is a 0.05% increase compared to last week. By price range, the ultra-high price range rose 0.04%, high price range 0.02%, mid price range 0.07%, and low price range increased by 0.18%. Dong-A Membership Trading Center analyzed, "It was a week of continuous heatwaves and heavy rain. The bid-ask spread between sellers and buyers has not narrowed," adding, "There is also a shortage of listings. Trading volume is expected to remain low until the end of this month."


The average price in the central region is 292.85 million KRW, a slight increase of 0.04% compared to last week. The 88 course saw buying inquiries increase for two consecutive weeks, rising 0.61%. Korea-General jumped significantly by 3.13% amid individual buying demand. Taekwang experienced a shortage of listings, increasing 0.57%, and Blue Heron in the Yeoju area also rose 1.00% as both selling and buying prices increased. However, Namseoul fell 1.03% as buyers turned cautious. Jisan also dropped 1.32%. Team leader Park Cheon-ju forecasted, "The central region membership market will mostly maintain a slightly weak trend."


The average price in the southern region is 169.09 million KRW, up 0.09% from last week. Gaya, Yongwon, and Tongdo are maintaining a stable market with no price changes. Changwon rose 2.63% as corporate buying orders increased and transactions were made at sellers' asking prices. On the other hand, Bayside fell 1.54% as only high-priced listings were observed and buying demand turned cautious. Jeongsan still shows a shortage of listings. Team leader Lee Yun-hee predicted, "The overall atmosphere of the southern region membership market will continue a slightly weak trend without major fluctuations for some time."
