Huh Tae-soo, chairman of GS Group, visited the Embassy of Vietnam in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 26th to pay his respects to the late Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
On this day, Chairman Huh was accompanied by Huh Yong-soo, president of GS Energy, and Huh Yoon-hong, president of GS Construction, to express their condolences.
In the condolence book, Chairman Huh wrote, "I pray for the repose of the deceased who contributed to the economic cooperation and development between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea."

GS Group operates various businesses in Vietnam, including energy. GS Construction is participating in a new city development project in Vietnam, and GS Retail is running convenience store businesses.
General Secretary Trong, the highest-ranking official in Vietnam's power hierarchy, passed away on the 19th. He ascended to Vietnam's top position in 2011 and served three consecutive terms from 2016 to 2021. He is the longest-serving General Secretary since the Vietnam War. In 2018, he temporarily held the position of State President concurrently.
