It was belatedly revealed that firefighters from Gongju Fire Station in Chungnam quickly extinguished a fire at Daejeon Baseball Stadium, preventing it from developing into a large-scale blaze.

According to the Chungnam Fire Department Headquarters on the 26th, a fire broke out on the roof of the outfield stands at Hanwha Eagles Park in Daejeon at around 6:28 p.m. on the 24th.

Off-duty firefighters Kim Sungjun, Ahn Hyunjun, and Song Daeun from Gongju Fire Station, who were visiting the baseball stadium, immediately rushed to the scene when the fire started. Together with staff, they used fire extinguishers and brought water with a restroom rubber hose, completely putting out the fire within five minutes and preventing major damage.
