The "Book Reading Council Members Group," a research organization of the Suseong District Council in Daegu, held its July reading seminar on the 25th in the Council's Second Conference Room.
This month's book was the poetry collection "Because We Are Lonely, We Are Human" by poet Jeong Hoseung. The seminar began with two poetry recitations by invited poetry reader Kim Geumju. During the reading discussion, which continued with a presentation by Council Member Kim Junggun, participants shared the poet's sensitivity in beautifully expressing insights into the inherent loneliness of humanity. The discussion also expanded to include policies supporting reclusive individuals and preventing solitary deaths, reflecting the responsibilities of council members.
