Naver announced on the 26th that it has opened a special page for the '2024 Paris Olympics' and will provide on-demand video (VOD) content of the games, as well as sport-specific OpenTalks.
Naver Sports will also introduce various community-based services such as the Olympic schedule and results, athlete interview video content, and cheering OpenTalks in celebration of the Paris Olympics opening.
Naver will deliver Paris Olympics news including medal and athlete information, and game schedules across various platforms such as the home feed, sports section, search, and OpenTalk. In particular, as the official sponsor of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, Naver plans to release photo shoots and interview videos of the national team athletes produced in-house.
Additionally, 'OpenTalk,' which has become a representative community in sports events, will operate a total of 38 special cheering rooms during the Paris Olympics, including the main cheering room and sport-specific cheering rooms for archery, swimming, and more.
At the 'PARIS NOW Korea Cheering Room,' vivid content from the Paris venue will be delivered, and communication with fans will take place.
Furthermore, Naver will provide content utilizing its conversational artificial intelligence (AI) service ClovaX in celebration of the Paris Olympics. This includes introduction content for 143 representative athletes and a service that summarizes OpenTalk conversations at game times.
Jugeonbeom, leader of Naver Sports, stated, "Beyond quickly delivering Olympic news such as game results, schedules, and VOD videos, we will strive to help sports fans enjoy the Olympics in various ways, including OpenTalks featuring Paris reporters."
Meanwhile, having secured the rights to game VOD content, Naver plans to produce and provide Olympic-related clips and showcase various content using game footage on the streaming platform Chijijik.
