Professor Kwon Ilyong's Special Lecture on 'Prevention of Youth Media Crime and Gambling'

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will recruit 300 participants on a first-come, first-served basis for the Guro Future Education District's "Friendly Dad" Frendy special lecture at 10 a.m. on August 24th in the 5th-floor auditorium of the Guro District Office.

Frendy is a coined term combining 'Friend + daddy,' referring to fathers who strive to become like friends to their children, moving away from patriarchal and authoritarian roles.

This special lecture will focus on youth media crimes and gambling, informing attendees about the realities and dangers of these crimes and introducing specific prevention methods.

Professor Kwon Il-yong is South Korea's first criminal psychological analyst, having been deployed to over 3,000 violent crime scenes during his police service and apprehended about 1,000 criminals. He is currently serving as an adjunct professor at Dongguk University Graduate School of Police and Judicial Studies.

Fathers with children in elementary, middle, or high school in the area, or any interested fathers, are welcome to participate. The lecture is free of charge.

Recruitment of 300 participants will be on a first-come, first-served basis from August 1st to August 20th.

Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, stated, "We hope many will participate so that this special lecture can help prevent youth media crimes and assist fathers in forming closer relationships with their children."
