Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project Kicks Off

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is set to actively promote the "Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project," which involves constructing the Jungnang Startup Support Center and 141 job-linked housing units within the Sinnae 3 District, in collaboration with SH Corporation.

Following the conditional approval of the "Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project" at the 5th Public Housing Integrated Deliberation Committee held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 23rd, construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025, with completion targeted for 2028.

Opened in 2022, the Jungnang Startup Support Center is an institution equipped with specialized systems to foster corporate growth and discover and nurture promising startups in the Fourth Industrial Revolution sectors, helping early-stage startups establish a foundation for growth.

The Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project will be located at 195-3 Sinnae-dong, covering a total floor area of 16,400㎡, with 2 basement levels and 12 floors above ground. It will provide 141 job-linked support housing units combining residential and workspaces for young entrepreneurs and others.

The housing units are designed for 1-2 person startups, consisting of exclusive areas of 31㎡ and 44㎡ to ensure residential stability. Each unit also includes a small-scale workspace to support residents' startup activities.

Additionally, the facility will include a 'Networking Room,' 'Open Meeting Rooms,' 'Kitchen Incubator (shared kitchen),' and 'Editing Room' for entrepreneurs, as well as 'Sports Program Rooms' and 'Multipurpose Spaces' accessible to local residents.

Notably, the first and second floors above ground will house the Startup Support Center along with living SOC facilities for Jungnang residents, contributing not only to the advancement of high-tech industries but also to improving the quality of life for the community.

Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi stated, "Upon completion, this project, together with the nearby knowledge industry center, will greatly contribute to regional economic development through attracting businesses, increasing the young population, and creating jobs."
