Gyeonggi Province will hold the Gyeonggi Medical Cooperation Research Seminar on the 31st at the Mirae Hall of the Bundang Seoul National University Hospital Healthcare Innovation Park.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, this seminar is designed to share specialized knowledge necessary for research and development in the medical industry under the theme "Understanding Clinical Trials of Medical Devices."
The seminar topics include ▲ Byung-kwan Kim, Officer of the Medical Device Safety Bureau at the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, "Current and Future Policies on Digital Medical Products" ▲ Chung-geun Lee, Professor at the Medical Device Research and Development Center of Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, "Understanding Clinical Trials of Digital Medical Devices and Regulatory Issues" ▲ Sun-mi Kim, Manager of the Medical Device Clinical Development Department at Syneks Co., Ltd., "Understanding Regulations on Clinical Trials of Medical Devices and Approval of Clinical Trial Plans."
The seminar will focus on enhancing the competitiveness of medical products and strengthening global market entry capabilities through digital medical products and clinical trials of medical devices.
Since 2020, Gyeonggi Province has been promoting the "Medical Industry Cooperation Support Project" in collaboration with Bundang Seoul National University Hospital.
The main projects include a mentoring program that connects experts in medical, investment, and licensing fields one-on-one with technology development sites, research seminars that share ideas from medical sites with industries, forums that share the latest trends for overseas expansion of the medical industry, and support linking clinical trials or analytical tests for product market entry evaluation.
Yoo Kwon-su, Director of Medical Resources at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We expect this seminar to be an opportunity to enhance competitiveness in the medical industry and increase the possibility of overseas expansion," adding, "We will continue to provide administrative support necessary to solve difficulties in the technology and product development process for medical companies and to improve international competitiveness."
