Mapo-gu Operates On-site District Office to Create Safe Routes to Seoul Girls' Middle and High Schools

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, inspected the traffic environment in front of the main gate of Seoul Girls' Middle and High School through the on-site mayor's office on the afternoon of the 25th.

The road in front of the main gate of Seoul Girls' Middle and High School is a narrow two-lane road, and traffic congestion occurs during commuting hours due to the high volume of vehicles. Additionally, there were many concerns about safety accidents as this overlaps with school arrival and dismissal times.

Accordingly, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, along with staff from related departments, directly assessed the road situation and discussed securing pedestrian pathways, installing traffic lights, and reorganizing speed bumps to improve the traffic environment.

After inspecting the site, Mayor Park Gang-su urged the relevant departments, saying, “The traffic environment in front of schools must be safer than any other road,” and requested, “Please take prompt measures to ensure the safe commute of students.”
