Yangcheon-gu, Sinjeong 4 District Project Implementation Approval... Large Complex of 1,713 Households Planned

Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced that it has approved and officially notified the project implementation plan for the reconstruction and redevelopment project of Sinjeong 4 Redevelopment Promotion Zone, covering an area of 82,071㎡ around 1200 Sinjeong-dong on the 25th. Through this project, 14 apartment buildings ranging from 5 basement floors to 23 above-ground floors will be constructed, totaling 1,713 households (including 62 rental units), along with auxiliary and welfare facilities.


The Sinjeong 4 Redevelopment Promotion Zone is located in the station area of Sinjeongnegeori Station on Subway Line 2 and occupies the largest area among the Sinjeong Redevelopment Promotion Districts currently underway. This approval comes 4 years and 11 months after the establishment of the association was authorized in August 2019, and by concretely finalizing the redevelopment project’s architectural plan, it has gained significant momentum for full-scale progress.


Notably, this zone was designated as a ‘Special Architectural Zone’ on the 18th, the only one among the Yangcheon-gu redevelopment promotion districts, allowing for specialized designs aimed at improving the urban landscape. This enables planning of harmonious and creative apartment complexes, moving away from the previously uniform and monotonous apartment plans. The Sinjeong 4 Zone, having received approval for the project implementation plan, intends to proceed with formal procedures such as appraisal and establishment of the management disposition plan within this year.


Mayor Lee Gi-jae stated, “With the approval of this project implementation plan, the development of the Sinjeong Redevelopment Promotion Zone will accelerate, and the residential environment in the area is expected to improve significantly. We will also spare no effort to support the swift progress of future project procedures so that it can be reborn as a premium residential complex.”
